So i feel for psychiatry step 1 first aid is more than enough ![]() I made a lot of flashcards like 3200 in total from uworld which i did towards the end like a wk before my exam just did those. So i just used these three sources mainly to study That helped me set a base after which i was able to answer the questions from uworld and my percentage correct started increasing. I started studying somewhere around 20th june, bought uworld and decided to do the questions, i started watching a few videis of OME, but for me it didnt work, so i decided to read Master the boards step 2 ck and MTB step 3, so the thing is mtb step 3 is very concise and there are few topics which are better given in step 3 and vice versa, so it didnt take me much time to go through the topics from mtb, specially mtb step 3 i was able to finish a topic in an hour. So i gave my step 1 on 27th feb 2020, and relaxed till june. Ill post a detailed write up on how i studied after i get my score lol.□□ In all i will say the exam is doable just believe in yourself and get a good night sleep before the exam. Other thing i found was the question stems were big, so if you havent done the new free 120, i strongly suggest you to go through that, because question stems are exactly similar to that, because while giving step 1 i felt like questions were mixed few long ones like in uworld and others shorter like nbme, but in step 2 ck i felt questions in general were long, so i was barely able to finish each slot, so definitely work on your timing, i think uworld covered most of the exam except maybe communications and ethics, maybe uworld add more questions soon, but i felt i was just taking shots in the dark for the ethics questions lol. So obviously step 2 ck has an extra slot, and due to the ongoing pandemic youre supposed to wear a mask throughout the session so be prepared for that, maybe practice a little. I just want to point out few differences i felt between giving step 1 vs step 2 ck ![]() Man its a 9 hr marathon, its exhausting for sure, but definitely doable, just have a good sleep a day before your exam.
